Photos from our Birch Aquarium Exhibition are below. Each students displayed their conservation poster with and shared information that they wrote about in their "all about" informational texts on their chosen animals.
Our Tidepool Mural: The wall started in December 2014. We started by adding non-living features of the tidepool: water, rocks, and the pool. Next we studied water and the water cycle. Then we added red algae, green algae, brown algae, and lots of labels! As students learn about their animals and drew them, they put up final illustrated versions on the wall. Each animal drawing went through a critique process in order to be ready for the wall. To learn more about our critique process, click here.
